Prometheus-X: Ensuring Interoperability Across Data Spaces
Prometheus-X is working closely with major data space organizations to ensure seamless interoperability and alignment with European standards.
With Gaia-X, the initiative adopts Trust Framework schemas and roles, while contributing to Data Usage Agreements and the integration of consent management and Personal Data Intermediaries (PDIs).
In collaboration with IDSA, Prometheus-X uses the IDS connector as a reference for its Personal Data Connector (PDC), applies the catalog protocol for resource representation, and extends the dataspace protocol to support personal data and multilateral contracts. It also contributes to the inclusion of consent mechanisms in the protocol.
Through the Data Space Support Center, Prometheus-X aligns with standard roles and contributes to key concepts such as personal data management, data space orchestrators, and multilateral agreements.
Prometheus-X has also partnered with the FIWARE Foundation to develop a shared, open-source data space stack. This collaboration combines technical components like identity management, ODRL-based policies, and PDIs to deliver an interoperable and standards-compliant infrastructure, with a joint demo planned for mid-2025.
To support implementation, Prometheus-X offers TypeScript libraries for working with dataspace catalog formats such as DCAT, SIMPL, and EDC – available on GitHub.
