Prometheus-X is an association that unites an international community to build and manage digital commons that empower individuals and organisations to control and freely share their data. By enabling an open and decentralised data sharing infrastructure it is delivering a practical framework to share data and services for different industries.
The following projects are led by Prometheus-X:
The EDGE-Skills project (European Dataspace for Growth and Education-Skills) aims to provide a human-centric, distributed and sovereign data space infrastructure that is deployed and ready to use as plug and play through a set of innovative cloud services with first use cases in the education and tourism domains.
EDGE-Skills unites 36 organisations from eight European Union (EU) countries to address pressing challenges in education and workforce competitiveness. By federating initiatives across Europe, it aims to impact over 5 million learners by the end of 2026 by pursuing the following three core objectives:
1. Developing and deploying high-value education and skills data ecosystems.
2. Innovating cloud-to-edge services for the education and skills data space.
3. Ensuring accessibility for all stakeholders.
The ARIANE project aims to develop and manage infrastructure services for the circulation of education and skills data. This infrastructure allows stakeholders in this sector to pool and share data in order to enhance their services by personalizing learning, training, guidance, and professional integration, as well as for research purposes. It seeks to form a Data Space Education & Skills (DASES) that will bring them together and offer new innovative services, thanks to the infrastructure enabled by Prometheus-X.
DS4Skills is a new project co-funded by the European Commission that picks up the work of its predecessor and proudly carries its name forward. It focuses on fostering innovation, improving education and training policies, and supporting employment strategies across Europe. By addressing immediate skills development needs, the project contributes to long-term EU goals, promoting a skilled and adaptable workforce for the digital age.
